The Chirina Hatchery is part of a Broiler vertical integration project, and is designed primarily to serve the integration needs. During the first phase of the project the hatchery incubated 5 million hatching eggs per year, which grew to 10 million at the completion of phase II. After completion of the final project phase the hatchery will incubate 16 million eggs per year. The structure was designed to be modular so it could be expanded with minimal costs as the integration needs grow.
The hatchery is automated and equipped with the latest technology to achieve excellent incubation results and top quality chicks. To accommodate the changing weather conditions that can reach highs of 38°C / 101°F and lows of -10°C / 14°F, it is equipped with adaptive ventilation and heating systems.
The hatchery operates according to the current European standards and maintains the highest level of biosecurity. Agrotop provided extensive training and on-site support for the Client to secure the economic results of the Hatchery and the entire integration. The pay back period for the Integration is expected at 3-4 years.
