Clear panels integrated into design

About The Hydrofood Packing Station Project

Hydrofood’s 8700 Sqm Packaging center structure, engineered and constructed by Agrotop, processes 25kg/Sqm of fruits & vegetables from the 20 hectars (200,000 Sqm) of surrounding greenhouses.

The packing station structure for the Hydrofood company, engineered and constructed by Agrotop, is Hydrofood’s main center for fruits and vegetables packing, storing and shipping. At 145 x 60 meters, or 8,700 sqm – It processes 25Kg/Sqm of produce per day from the 20 Hectars (200,000 Sqm) of surrounding greenhouses.

Agrotop decided to use only panels, a high quality material, when engineering the structure, but chose a simple build design to keep construction costs low. Clear panels were integrated into the design at key locations to allow natural sunlight to enter the structure thus saving electricity costs during the operational stage.

Agrotop partnered with “Netafim” company that installed the heavy duty systems during the structure erection, coordinating the construction together in order to successfully meet the operation deadline.
