Natural Systems
Although the CTV provides a complete solution for all stages of bird growing in all climate conditions, some growers choose to maintain the option of natural ventilation. In this case, the poultry house can be ventilated without operating the mechanical ventilation systems, simply by opening the longitudinal walls of the structure for natural ventilation. The openings are protected with a galvanized mesh that prevents birds from entering the poultry house from outside. Most poultry houses with natural ventilation are constructed so that the house wall is partly an insulated panel, with a ventilation opening on top of this controlled by an insulated curtain. This curtain ensures complete insulation and a perfect seal when closed, and natural, free ventilation when open. In some houses, the entire wall may be opened by means of a curtain. There is also the option of installing shutters along the entire length of the poultry house with special sealing details, so that when closed there is complete closure and excellent insulation, and when open the entire wall allows natural ventilation.
